Hoshiarpur - Poor people are getting buried under debt only when government facilities have fallen prey to corruption. Even the best scheme of cattle shed has been abandoned by large-scale corruption and vested interests. Many people have taken illegal benefits and many poor people have been cheated. Scams in Panchayati Raj are skyrocketing and the AAP government is claiming to be honest.
Labor Party President Jai Gopal Dhiman and Sonu resident of Mehtpur went to village Patadiyan and listened to the problems of MNREGA workers (Job Card Number: 10) and said that Office Block ^2 Hoshiarpur strongly condemned the harassment of MNREGA workers by making excuses for payment of material for the cattle shed built in the last 4 years and said that the only work of corruption-ridden Panchayati Raj is to harass MNREGA workers.
Dhiman said that worker Sukhwinder Kaur worked for a total of 52 days under muster roll number 1244 dated 30^-07^2020 under muster roll numbers 1337, 1676, 2172, 2898, 3098 for the construction of the cattle shed. That payment of Rs 13676 has been received for the work done. But payment for the material is not being received. The poor daily wage workers MNREGA workers are bearing the brunt of the wrong policies of the government. First people have to spend money themselves or by borrowing money and later have to take payment. The total cost of the cattle shed including daily wages was Rs 60,000 and the remaining payment of Rs 46,324 is pending. He said that due to non-payment of material on time, the construction of the cattle shed has become a cause of trouble. When all this is a matter of negligence of the office of Block^2 Hoshiarpur, which is responsible. Such shocks always happen with the poor.
