Garhshankar, September 10 - Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Seva Blood Donor Club president Omkar Singh Chahilpuri said in a statement that the blood bank of Garhshankar, which was closed after the Corona crisis, has not been started till date and people are facing a lot of trouble.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government, which makes big claims of health facilities at the Punjab level, has not started the closed blood bank of Garhshankar till date, which is proving to be the biggest incompetence of this government and the leaders sitting in the government.
He said that countless blood donation camps are being run in many villages of Garhshankar area and this blood is being collected by blood banks from outside cities, whereas earlier it used to go to the blood bank of Garhshankar and whenever the people of Garhshankar felt the need, blood was easily available here. But today when someone in Garhshankar area needs blood, he has to go to Nawanshahr, Hoshiarpur or Banga. Where they have to bear the treatment like strangers.
He said that it is a matter of great sadness that the Aam Aadmi Party government is not paying any attention to this problem of the people, although many people have brought this issue to the attention of the local MLA.
Unkar Singh Chalpur said that there is a lot of anger among the youth, especially the blood donors, about the fact that the blood bank of Garhshankar has been closed and the government representatives are showing complete indifference in restarting it.
