
Material recovery facility and plastic recycling plant started

And the plastic recycling plant was inaugurated today. This plant was inaugurated by Municipal Corporation Patiala Commissioner Aditya Dechalwal.

And the plastic recycling plant was inaugurated today. This plant was inaugurated by Municipal Corporation Patiala Commissioner Aditya Dechalwal.
Notably, this plastic recycling facility is the second major achievement under Project MAS, before which the first facility was established in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The highlight of this new plant in Patiala is that it is the first such facility in the city which will help prevent plastic waste from landfills and promote waste management. SDO Pawan Sharma, IPCA Director Ashish Jain, Secretary Ajay Garg and Deputy Director Dr Radha Goyal from Punjab Pollution Control Board were present.
Aditya Dechalwal said on the occasion that the main objective of this project is to strengthen the system of plastic recycling and to implement wet waste management in the city in a more efficient manner.
