Una, September 5 - The Women and Child Development Department took out an awareness rally under the Nutrition Month in Gram Panchayat Kalaruhi yesterday. Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi assistants participated in the awareness rally. District Program Officer Una Narinder Kumar said that this time the Nutrition Month is based on five themes which include anemia, growth monitoring, supplementary diet, nutrition as well as education and technology for better administration. He said that the main objective of the campaign is to make adolescents, pregnant women and lactating women aware about the prescribed nutrition and to provide them proper nutrition. Like every year, this year also, various programs are being organized by the Women and Child Development at the Anganwadi level, supervisor circle level and project level to save the targeted groups from malnutrition, through which detailed information is being given to the targeted groups regarding nutritious diet.
On this occasion, Child Development Project Officer Amb Vijay, Circle Supervisor Pawan Kumar, Kulwinder Singh, Statistical Assistant Sandeep, Nutrition Coordinator Manzoor Khan and Matul along with all the Anganwadi workers were present.
