Una, August 28 - Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri participated in the festival organized at Sri Radhakrishna Temple, Kotla Kalan in Una on the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Reaching the temple late Tuesday evening, he took blessings from national saint Baba Bal Ji Maharaj and performed milk Abhishek of the child form of Lord Krishna. Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma was also with him during this time.

On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister wished everyone a Happy Sri Krishna Janmashtami Festival and prayed for everyone's happiness and prosperity. Baba Bal Ji Maharaj blessed Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and MLA Vivek Sharma by presenting them turbans and shawls.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that Baba Bal Ji Maharaj is doing a great job of connecting common people with God. He said that the blessings of Maharaj Shri give him spiritual strength to engage in public service with more dedication and enthusiasm. The Deputy Chief Minister announced to give Rs 10 lakh for the beautification of Shri Radhakrishna Temple, Kotla Kalan. Earlier also he had provided Rs 25 lakh for the construction of community hall in the temple, as well as important works like installing a 250 KV transformer and a grand gate of the temple to solve the electricity problem.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Devbhoomi Himachal is a land of holy places and temples, where world-famous Shaktipeeth, Siddhapeeth, Shivalaya-devalaya are located. He said that the Himachal government is continuously working for the conservation and beautification of temples. In this series, the work of beautification of Mata Shri Chintapurni temple is being done at a cost of about Rs 250 crore. The government is working diligently to promote religious-cultural tourism in the state.
Let us tell you, as part of the state government's efforts to promote religious-cultural tourism, a three-day Mata Shri Chintapurni Festival is being organized for the first time in Amb subdivision. This festival will be celebrated from 14 to 16 September.
The temple committee expressed its gratitude to the Deputy Chief Minister for his generous contribution and appreciated his generosity. The committee also thanked all the dignitaries who visited the temple.
