Chandigarh August 21, 2024:- An orientation program for new students of M.Sc. in Fashion and Lifestyle Technology was organized to acquaint students with the program's academic rigor and practical aspects. The orientation programme began with a warm welcome from Dr. Prabhdip Brar, setting a positive tone for the event, followed by an interactive session between students and faculties.
An insightful Lecture by Dr. Kavita Jarodia explored the importance of applying academic knowledge in real-world industry business scenarios, highlighting success stories and best practices. Dr. Kanwarpal Singh provided a lecture which delved into the challenges of balancing technical and artistic creativity in garment design, discussing innovative solutions and case studies. The students then proceeded on a Guided tour of various departments and popular places in Panjab University, which provided an opportunity to explore state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Overall, the orientation aimed to holistically prepare students for their academic journey while fostering a sense of belonging within the department.
