Milk committees should connect as many farmers as possible

Una, August 17 - In a bid to strengthen the dairy industry in Una district, the Animal Husbandry Department organised a one-day awareness camp in Dilwan on Saturday. The camp was attended by the operators of the milk committees of the area. The department officials guided them on their participation in strengthening Una district's participation in milk production and processing.

On this occasion, Assistant Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Rakesh Bhatti called upon the operators of milk societies to connect more and more farmers with them. He urged the unregistered milk societies to get themselves registered and gave valuable suggestions regarding increasing the capacity of the societies. He said that with the strengthening of the milk business, the income of the farmers will also increase. He asked the Milk Society Dilwan to increase its capacity and work with the target of collecting 2 thousand liters of milk daily.
In the meeting, Medical Officer Dr. Gopal Krishna Pashu, Assistant Registrar Cooperative Society Amb Vipin Kumar, Akshay Khanna, along with the officials of Block Amb made the farmers aware.
