Mahilpur, August 17 - During a function held at Gurudwara Satguru Ravidas Maharaj near Sub Tehsil Complex Mahilpur, women who cooperated in social welfare work were specially honored today.
On this occasion, Surinder Kaur Pradhan Sawan Month Mela and Women's Awakening Forum, Founder of the Society Nirmal Kaur Bodh, Gurbaksh Kaur, Surjit Kaur, Sukhjit Kaur, Doctor Babbu, Sandeep Kaur, Amarjit Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Jitinder Kaur, Narinder Kaur, Sumita Devi, Amarjit Kaur, Poonam Rani, Rekha Rani, Manjit Kaur, Paramjit Kaur, Ranjit Kaur were regularly present.
Speaking on this occasion, Nirmal Kaur Bodh said that after bowing down at Gurdwara Satguru Ravidas Maharaj, all the women went to the court of Baba Qalandri Shah and bowed down and expressed their faith by lighting a lamp under the pipal tree located there. He said that Pipal tree is a very venerable and respected tree.
2575 years ago, Tathagata Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the pipal tree. By following their knowledge, every person can make his life peaceful and pleasant. After the end of this event, Ranjit Kaur's family gave tea and water to all the women who participated in the event.
