Patiala, July 29 - Preparations have been started by the district administration to celebrate the Independence Day of the country with enthusiasm. Today, Additional Deputy Commissioner Madam Kanchan issued instructions to the officials of various departments regarding the preparations for the event to be held on August 15. He said that Independence Day will be celebrated with full enthusiasm and spirit of patriotism. SDM Patiala Arvind Kumar was also present on this occasion.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner gave instructions in a meeting with the officials of various departments at the District Administrative Complex That the entire arrangements for the event to be held at the Maharaja Bhalinder Singh Sports Complex Polo Ground of Patiala should be completed in a smooth and beautiful manner on time.
He said that on the occasion of Independence Day, a cultural program including a parade of police, IRB, NCC, scouts and guides and Giddha by young women and Bhangra by the youth will also be performed. He said that during the event, certificates will be provided to the beneficiaries of the welfare schemes, including the distribution of tricycles and wheelchairs to the needy. During the meeting, DFSC Ravinder Kaur, DDF Nidhi Malhotra and other officials of various departments were present.
