
The decision taken by the Punjab state government to ban minor children who are below 18 years from driving two wheelers and four wheelers is a commendable decision.
Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab Founder President Satish Kumar Soni and Senior Vice President Lakhwinder Kumar said that as per the instructions of the State Government, Additional Director General Punjab issued an order under Section 199A and Section 199C of the Act by letter number 6607-11/Traffic dated 02-07-2024, that it has been decided to ban minors below 18 years of age from driving two-wheelers and four-wheelers. That is a commendable decision.

Due to which a lot of property has been damaged. Most of these accidents happen due to careless driving by minor children. This decision has been taken by the administration, if it is strictly implemented then road accidents will decrease. Society Senior Vice President Dr. Lakhwinder Kumar (Lucky) said that along with this decision, the state government needs to amend some rules for tipper drivers as well. Their operating time should be fixed. They operate at their own will without any rules. There is neither any speed limit nor any fixed time. They move around 24 hours a day without stopping with overloaded weight and cause road accidents and play a big role in breaking the connecting roads of the village. He said that Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society demands through this press note that the state government should amend the rules and conditions for tipper drivers as soon as possible and make strict laws and strictly implement them.
