During a meeting held at the office of the Nagar Improvement Trust, Dr. Balbir Singh said that the problems of the residents of SST Nagar and Narendra Enclave will be resolved soon and immediate action has been taken to provide all the basic facilities to the residents. . He said that the problems faced by the residents of the trust colonies in getting water and sewage connections, along with the problems related to the maintenance of roads, streets, street lights and parks will be resolved soon. He said that even though these colonies were built in 1973 But due to the previous governments not paying attention to their development, they have lagged behind in terms of development, which will now be developed rapidly. The minister said that a plan is also being drawn up for the supply of canal water in the colonies of the Urban Improvement Trust. He said that the roads will be repaired immediately and the roads will be constructed after the rainy season passes.
On this occasion, the cabinet minister, talking to the residents of the colonies, said that to solve their problems, a meeting with the local government department and other related departments will be held on Monday to schedule the works to be done in the colonies and the responsibilities of the departments will also be decided. He said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to provide all basic facilities to every individual and is working round the clock to fulfill this purpose. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon, Jagtar Singh, Colonel JV Singh and Harpreet Singh Sandhu were also present in the meeting.
