Ludhiana - A delegation led by the state leadership of PSEB Employees Federation ATK, a militant employees' organization of the electricity board, met Chief Engineer Central Zone Jagdev Singh Hans and congratulated him on his new appointment. They demanded to provide equipment related to safety aspects to the electrical workers to save them from accidents.
The leaders apprised Chief Engineer Hans about the insecurity of dry and raw CHB workers at the ground level and requested to provide equipment like earth rod set, safety belts, pals, screws, gloves, rain boots, induction and voltage leakage detection helmets and alarm testers free of cost to the dry workers during the paddy season. They told Mr. Hans that fatal incidents are increasing due to lack of safety equipment. Due to which the electrical workers, who are already working under the pressure of additional work, are forced to live in an atmosphere of fear and dread. S: Hans assured a quick solution after discussing the problems raised by the employees and also gave a positive response regarding providing safety equipment.
