Una, July 19 - On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a district level function will be organized on July 26 at Shaheed Smarak located in MC Park Una. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mahendra Pal Gurjar held a meeting with the officials of the concerned departments on Friday for the successful organization of this function. During this, he gave necessary guidelines to the concerned departments regarding the preparations of the function.
The ADC said that the district level Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations will begin on July 26 at 10.30 am. On this occasion, tributes will be paid to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the country by remembering their valor and sacrifice and they will be paid emotional tribute. Mahendra Pal Gurjar said that the families of the martyrs and the soldiers retired from the Indian Army will be specially invited to the celebrations.
He has urged the ex-servicemen and their families and all the residents of Una district to participate in the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations in large numbers.
Deputy Director of Sainik Welfare Department Una, Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) SK Kalia along with officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
