
Awarded Sukhman Singh Young Writer Award by Progressive Writers Association
Mahilpur - The young writer Sukhman Singh, who has been playing an outstanding role in the fields of literature, art and culture for the last decade, was honored with the Young Writer Award by the Progressive Writers Association Mahilpur. While presiding over the felicitation ceremony, retired education officer Bagga Singh Artist said that Sukhman Singh has also made great strides in the field of children's literature, painting and multi media. He has authored four books, edited two and titled two dozen books till date.
Mahilpur - The young writer Sukhman Singh, who has been playing an outstanding role in the fields of literature, art and culture for the last decade, was honored with the Young Writer Award by the Progressive Writers Association Mahilpur. While presiding over the felicitation ceremony, retired education officer Bagga Singh Artist said that Sukhman Singh has also made great strides in the field of children's literature, painting and multi media. He has authored four books, edited two and titled two dozen books till date. Not only here, he has also drawn children's hearts in dozens of children's books. The recently released book 'Khedan Minku Te Chintu Ki' is a masterpiece of his paintings. Conducting the ceremony, Secretary Jeevan Chandeli said that we have high expectations from such young people. Principal Sarabjit Singh said that students who are dedicated and work in any field achieve higher goals. Baljinder Mann, President of Progressive Writers Sangh Eki Mahilpur, said that it is their endeavor that New Paneeri should play an active role in the field of literature. On this occasion, Sukhman Singh presented his views and said that he was brought up in the literary field in the tiny Karumbalan Bhawan. Among his main sources of inspiration are Dr. Balveer Kaur Reihal and Baljinder Mann after Mata Randeep Kaur. Many literature lovers including Prince Manjit Kaur, Harveer Mann, Harmanpreet Kaur, Manjinder Singh Heer, Sachin Sharma, Nidhi Aman Sahota, Pawan Skruli and Harjot Singh participated in this honor ceremony. All of them were thanked by Kuldeep Kaur Bains.
