Una, July 15 - The State Tax and Excise Department, Una, checked vehicles during road side checking last Saturday as part of a special campaign. During this, various vehicles were inspected under the GST Act. During the inspection, 7 cases of various types of goods were found without bills, on which the department took action as per rules and imposed a fine of Rs 2,18,510,
Una, July 15 - The State Tax and Excise Department, Una, checked vehicles during road side checking last Saturday as part of a special campaign. During this, various vehicles were inspected under the GST Act. During the inspection, 7 cases of various types of goods were found without bills, on which the department took action as per rules and imposed a fine of Rs 2,18,510, which includes two cases of iron scrap, on which the department took strict action and collected a fine of Rs 1,85,860 on the spot. STEO Shiv Mahajan, along with Sanjeev Kumar, Suresh Kumar and Lakhwinder Singh were present in the special road side checking campaign.
Deputy Commissioner State Tax and Excise Una Vinod Singh Dogra said that the department is making every effort to prevent any kind of tax evasion. He has requested all types of traders to keep complete documents related to purchase and sale in future, such as original purchase/sale bill, e-way bill along with the transportation of goods. He said that in future also, if any case related to tax evasion is found, then strict action will be taken by the department as per the rules.
