People of village Panam, Chak Hajipur, Chak Singh are living without drinking water due to faulty starter.

Garhshankar, July 13 - The starter of the water supply scheme installed in Panam village of Garhshankar tehsil sometimes gets damaged, due to which the common people face severe shortage of drinking water.

Garhshankar, July 13 - The starter of the water supply scheme installed in Panam village of Garhshankar tehsil sometimes gets damaged, due to which the common people face severe shortage of drinking water.
Villagers Mohanlal Pradhan, Kewal Krishna, Madanlal, Dharampal, Hariram, Amrik Singh, Rinku, Sarwan Ram, Charanjit Singh Sarpanch, Manpreet Singh, Karamjit Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Malkit Singh said that even after calling the officials repeatedly, no hearing is taking place. And people have been left to trust God.
They said that although this scheme is in Panam village, but drinking water is supplied to the surrounding villages Chak Hajipur and Chak Singha and Basti Bajigar from this scheme. Whenever the motor gets damaged, 90 percent of the population of these four villages face the problem of drinking water.
The residents of the area say that despite repeated demands, a new starter is not being installed, they said that the day the motor gets damaged, the officials do not even pick up the phone.
On talking about this, JE Rampal of the Public Health Department said that there is no question of not picking up the phone. He said that the starter of the Gram Panam scheme had broken down the previous day and now it has been repaired and the motor has been started. He also told that this part is worth 40 to 50 thousand rupees for which the department has to tender and we are tendering soon.
