On this occasion, health worker Rajeev Romi told the people that the health department is celebrating male sterilization fortnight from 11th July to 24th July 2024. The main objective of which is to create awareness about sterilization in the society, especially among eligible couples and to motivate men to accept male sterilization. The theme of World Population Day 2024 is "New Identity of Developed India, Family Planning Dignity of Every Couple". He said it is a minor incisionless operation and no stitches are used. By doing which, the man does not suffer any pain and after the operation, the person can do his daily activities as before. Therefore, more and more people should be made aware and motivated to get the operation done so that the growing population can be stopped. There is no need to fear and panic. He said that there is a need to remove the misconceptions spread in the society about male sterilization. Therefore, men should go ahead and take responsibility to realize the concept of small family and happy family. He also said that financial assistance of Rs 1100 is given to the person who performs the sterilization operation and Rs 200 to the person who induces the operation. At this time health workers Rajeev Romi, Balwinder Kumar, Hardyal Singh, Manoj Kumar, Sucha Singh and Paramjit Singh etc. and villagers were present.
