According to the information received on the spot, the death anniversary of Sant Baba Kehar Singh ji is being celebrated today at Pir Baba Bandali Sher at a religious place near village Ansro and a large number of devotees participated in the event. A family had also come from Kharar and a 14-year-old boy of this family, Ansh Walia, reached the bank of the nearby Sutlej river and was looking at the water, when he suddenly slipped and fell into the water. His maternal uncle immediately jumped into the water to save Ansh from falling into the river Sutlej, but he too was swept away by the rushing water. Local people immediately informed the police about this incident. From where ASI Laxman Das reached the spot with the police party and immediately started searching for the uncle-nephew by calling divers from Ropar. Divers were searching for both as of press time.
