The last rites of Himmat Roy were held in the Shivpuri crematorium

On this occasion, besides his wife Sarabjit Kaur, daughters Harpreet Kaur and Samunpreet Kaur, MLA Sham Churasi Dr. Ravjot Singh, Tehsildar Hoshiarpur Gursevak Chand, Inderjit Singh, Jaswinder Singh, retired DSP Swaran Singh, Paras Ram and a large number of relatives, friends and local residents were present.
It is worth mentioning that 45 people including 40 Indians died in a fire in a building in Kuwait recently, including Himmat Rai of Hoshiarpur district. With the help of the Central, State Government and District Administration, Himmat Roy's dead body reached here early last Saturday, but his last rites were performed today after some family members came from abroad.
 Late Himmat Rai's nephew Inderjit Singh said that his funeral and final prayers will be held at Gurdwara Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib in village Kakkon on June 24 from 12 noon to 2 pm.
