In a meeting at the District Administrative Complex, Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that the signboards on the roads of Patiala are damaged or not installed. The traffic police and PWD department should jointly visit there to identify such sites and start the process of installing signboards there immediately. He said that the railings on the roads are sometimes broken due to accidents, which can lead to other accidents if not repaired on time. Therefore, the concerned departments should check the railings on the roads from time to time and fix the railings immediately in case of any accident. ADC Madam Kanchan, Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Manisha Rana, SP Harwant Kaur, DSP Karnail Singh, HPS Lamba and other senior officers of the concerned departments were also present in the meeting.
