International Yoga Day will be celebrated on June 21 at Police Line Ground-Rahul Chaba

Hoshiarpur - Additional Deputy Commissioner (R) Rahul Chaba today held a meeting with the officials at the District Administrative Complex regarding the preparations for the district level event to be held on the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day. On this occasion, he said that under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, International Yoga Day will be celebrated at the district level under the theme 'Yoga for Self and Society' on June 21 at Police Line Ground with the support of various organizations.

He directed all the concerned departments to fulfill the assigned responsibility diligently so that the event can be successfully conducted. He instructed the Nodal Officer-cum-Ayurvedic Medical Officer of the event, Dr. Harish Bhatia, to personally review the preparations for the program and ensure that all arrangements are completed within the stipulated time.
 The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that yoga will be conducted by various trainers on the occasion of District Level Yoga Day in Police Line and information will be given about the importance of yoga postures. He asked the concerned departments to complete their related preparations on time. He appealed to the heads of all departments including social service organizations, police department, college students, members of youth clubs and yoga lovers to reach Police Line Ground Hoshiarpur at 6 am on 21st June 2024 in this district level yoga day. To participate in maximum numbers. He said that people attending the Yoga Day program should wear T-shirt/kurta and lower/pajama etc. Meanwhile, he also gave instructions to the concerned departments regarding refreshments, drinking water, cleaning, first aid, traffic, tents, sound and other arrangements. He said that students should be encouraged for yoga and the participation of students of schools and colleges should be ensured.
 Before this, two minutes of silence was observed by all the officials and representatives of the institutions remembering the services of the District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Late Dr. Naresh Mahi, who passed away in the past. On this occasion, besides SDM Hoshiarpur Preetinder Singh Bains, Assistant Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sandeep Tiwari, officials of various departments, representatives of social service organizations and schools and colleges were also present.
