Hoshiarpur - People of Ward No. 50, Mohalla Neelkanth, under the chairmanship of District Sangharsh Samiti President Karamveer Bali, submitted a demand letter to Assistant Commissioner Sandeep Tiwari in the name of Commissioner Municipal Corporation.
It was said in this demand letter that for the last 2 years, all the top officials including the Mayor have met the Municipal Corporation regarding the problems of the locality and have informed them about the problems, but because the Municipal Corporation is a political arena, people's work is getting obstructed. Public works are being delayed. Till date, the estimate for the construction of the street of Mohalla Neelkanth has not been made. The Assistant Commissioner has assured that soon the estimate will be made and placed in the Municipal Corporation meeting. In a week, the sanitation workers will start cleaning the locality. The water supply in the locality will be assessed. Garbage will be removed by sending a vehicle once a week, lights will be repaired.
Karamveer Bali said that if the work does not start by June 25, then the residents of the locality will be forced to protest, the responsibility of which will be of the Municipal Corporation officials. Balbir Kaur, Brijlal, Narinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Lali, Disho, Atinder Kumar etc were present on this occasion.
