Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa said that the rainy season will begin in the coming days. He instructed the officials to be fully prepared for the villages near the river and the villages that are affected by possible floods. He also instructed the health department to make stock of medicines and medical teams and keep them ready.
The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the concerned department and said that keeping in mind the possible floods, the work under preparation for building a relief camp in the district should be completed. And so that electricity, water, toilets, etc. can be arranged in the relief camps to be built if necessary. He said that control rooms are also being established in the district and apart from this, control rooms will also be established in possible flood affected areas. He instructed the municipal council officials and BDPOs to clean the drains, drains, etc. in the city and villages as soon as there is time so that they do not face any kind of trouble during rainy days.
