The Coordination Committee has announced to hold a massive protest on June 11 at DC office Ludhiana, in which apart from thousands of people from the concerned villages, public organizations of the district will also participate in large numbers. Coordination Sangharsh Samiti convener Sukhdev Singh Bhunddi said that a detailed meeting was held today with ADC Major Amit Shareen. The ADC has assured that he will personally visit the Ghunghrali Rajput factory and resolve the issue. In the demand letter submitted to him on behalf of the Coordination Sangharsh Samiti, it has been said that due to the gas factories, the lives and property of the people have been endangered on a large scale. Foul smell, pollution, diseases will spread in the area. These factories are very close to the population. The chaos created by the factory in Ghungrali Rajputan (near Khanna) in the area is in front of everyone, but despite this, neither this factory is being closed nor the licenses of other factories under construction are being cancelled. People are protesting strongly by forming barricades, but the government is not listening. That is why people boycotted the elections. There was almost complete boycott with fixed fronts in the villages and in other villages of these areas also people boycotted the elections on a large scale. Now the struggle is being intensified by forming a coordination committee. They have appealed to all justice-loving public organizations, intellectuals, social workers of Punjab to strongly support their struggle and join the huge protest to be held on June 11. Sukhdev Singh, Amrik Singh, Satwant Singh, Bhinder Singh Bhindi, Jagtar Singh, Surjit Singh, Kanwaljit Khanna, Inderjit Singh, Gurtej Singh, Tara Singh from village Akhara, Karamjit Singh Sahota, Amandeep Singh from village Ghungarali Rajputs, Harmandeep Singh from village Mushkabad, Gurpreet Singh, Ravinderpal Singh, Malwinder Singh, Kulwinder Singh Kala, Nirmal Singh, Jasdeep Sonu, Tejpal Singh, Navpreet Singh from village Payal attended the meeting today.
