 He said that a counting staff of 572 employees has been deployed for the counting of votes, which includes one counting supervisor, two counting assistants and one micro observer each. He said that a total of 136 tables have been installed for counting, of which there are 14 tables each in each counting center. Apart from this, 10 tables have been installed for the counting of postal ballot papers.
The Deputy Commissioner said that counting centers have been set up at two places for the counting of votes of different Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha Constituency. He said that the counting of assembly constituencies Hoshiarpur, Mukerian, Dasuha, Urmur, Chabewal, Bhulath and Phagwara will be held at Riyat Bahra Group of Institutes, Hoshiarpur while the counting of assembly constituencies Sri Hargobindpur and Sham Churasi will be held at Multi Skill Development Center Hoshiarpur.
He said that the entry of the media in the counting centers will be with the official authority letter of the Election Commission of India And media rooms have been set up in counting centers for the convenience of media. He said that the results of each round of counting of votes will be provided And these results will also be available on the Election Commission website. He clarified that according to the instructions of the Election Commission, the use of mobile phones for taking videos or photos inside any counting center is prohibited. And photo and video can be done only with the camera. He said that the counting of votes is the last and important stage of the democratic process, which will be carried out successfully with the cooperation of all.
 Meanwhile, SSP Surendra Lamba said that three layers of strict security arrangements have been made around the counting centers In which Central Security Force, Punjab Armed Police and District Police jawans are posted. He said that adequate arrangements have been made for parking and barricading in the counting centres. He said that no unwanted gathering will be allowed around the counting centers. He also made it clear that no anti-social elements will be allowed to take the law into their own hands Because adequate security arrangements have been made by the police to carry out the entire counting process in a smooth and peaceful manner.
