Speakers in the protest said that the government and administration should read the writing on the wall. Ghungrali Rajputan and five nearby villages also boycotted the voting to get the gas factory closed. Apart from this, there was a complete boycott of voting in Mushkabad, Khirnia, Tapriyan and Akhada. Speakers from these different villages, Karamjit Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh, Roop Singh, Lovely Sarpanch, Gurtej Singh, Hardev Singh, Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Teja Singh, Amrik Singh, Harpreet Singh, Bhinder Singh Bhindi and Jagtar Singh declared that if the factories are still not closed, a big struggle will be organized by coordinating all the villages. A joint meeting has been called on June 3 at 9 am in Punjabi Bhawan, Ludhiana.
