Patiala, June 2 - Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Shaukat Ahmed Pare has informed about the votes cast on June 1 for the Lok Sabha general elections-2024 and said that 63.63 percent votes have been cast in the Lok Sabha constituency. He told here today that 11 lakh 49 thousand 417 voters out of a total of 18 lakh 6 thousand 424 in Derabasi constituency including 9 assembly constituencies of Patiala district contributed to the strengthening of democracy by voting.

Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that the entire voting process was completed successfully and peacefully late last night. He said that there are 9 lakh 44 thousand 300 male and 8 lakh 62 thousand 44 female voters in Patiala Lok Sabha constituency. Of these, 6 lakh 16 thousand 927 men and 5 lakh 32 thousand 462 women exercised the right to vote. While out of total 80 transgender voters, 28 transgender voters also exercised their democratic right.
Shaukat Ahmad Pare, giving information about the constituency-wise votes, said that in Vidhan Sabha Constituency 109-Nabha (SC), out of a total of 1 lakh 87 thousand 190 voters, a total of 1 lakh 21 thousand 43 (64.66 percent) have cast their votes. did, out of which 6 transgender voters including 65337 men and 55700 women voted.
Similarly, in 110-Patiala Rural, out of a total of 2 lakh 19 thousand 862 voters, 69200 males and 60483 females and 1 transgender, a total of 1 lakh 29 thousand 684 (58.98 percent) voters voted. While there are a total of 1 lakh 81 thousand 273 voters in Vidhan Sabha Constituency 111-Rajpura, out of them 1 lakh 16 thousand 699 (64.38 percent), 62747 men and 53951 women and 1 transgender voter exercised their right to vote. Similarly, there are a total of 2 lakh 96 thousand 951 voters in Constituency 112-Derabsi, of which 105763 males and 90467 females and 4 transgenders cast their votes, which is 1 lakh 96 thousand 234 (66.08 percent).
The District Election Officer further informed that in the same way, there are a total of 1 lakh 64 thousand 216 voters in Constituency 113-Ghanur, where 1 lakh 10 thousand 682 (67.40 percent) 60948 male and 49734 female voters cast their votes. There is no transgender voter. Constituency 114-Snaur has 2 lakh 26 thousand 886 voters, out of which 1 lakh 41 thousand 12 votes were cast (62.15 percent), among them 75437 male and 65568 female voters and 7 transgender voters cast their votes. While in Constituency 115-Patiala (Urban), there are a total of 1 lakh 52 thousand 570 voters, out of which a total of 94 thousand 333 voters, including 49684 males, 44643 females and 6 transgender voters (61.83 percent) voted.
Similarly, 1 lakh 25 thousand 888 out of a total of 1 lakh 88 thousand 834 voters, including 67141 men, 58746 women and 1 transgender voter (66.67 percent) have cast their votes in 116-samana constituency.
Shaukat Ahmed Pare further said that 1 lakh 13 thousand 842 out of 1 lakh 88 thousand 642 voters in Vidhan Sabha Constituency 117-Shutrana Constituency, 60670 men and 53170 women and 2 transgender voters (60.35 percent) voted. paid up
The District Election Officer further said that the percentage of votes cast in the Lok Sabha constituency is 65.33% of male voters, 61.77% of female voters and 35% of transgenders. He said that the counting of votes for 26 candidates will be done on June 4.
