
Preparations for counting of votes are complete, counting will begin on 4th at 8 am
Una, June 2- All administrative preparations have been completed in Una district for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections and 2 assembly by-elections. District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Jatin Lal said that the administration has made all the necessary arrangements to ensure fair, peaceful and smooth counting. Counting will start at 8 am on June 4.
Una, June 2- All administrative preparations have been completed in Una district for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections and 2 assembly by-elections. District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Jatin Lal said that the administration has made all the necessary arrangements to ensure fair, peaceful and smooth counting. Counting will start at 8 am on June 4.
The District Election Officer visited Degree College Una on Sunday and inspected the counting centers there. He took stock of all the arrangements there and gave necessary instructions to the officials. He closely observed all the arrangements including barricading, proper security arrangements at the counting place.
Let us tell you, counting centers have been set up in Government College Una for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections and two assembly by-elections. 5 assembly-wise counting centers have been set up in the college for the counting of EVMs of Lok Sabha. Apart from this, 2 separate counting centers have also been set up in Una College for the assembly by-elections of Gagret and Kutlehad.
Counting of postal ballots for Lok Sabha will be done at Hamirpur at the RO level. The counting of postal ballots for the assembly by-elections of Gagret and Kutlahar will be done at the respective polling centers set up in Una College.
Jatin Lal said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission, security arrangements have been tightened in and around the counting centers. There will be a three-tier security system at the counting centers.
*Second randomization of counting personnel*
Jatin Lal said that on Sunday, in the presence of Election Commission observers and representatives of political parties, the second randomization of counting supervisors, counting assistants and micro observers deployed for the counting process was done. In these polling centers set up in Una College, 177 staff have been deployed for counting the Lok Sabha votes, while 75 officers and employees have been deployed for the assembly by-election.
