Hoshiarpur - Regarding the Lok Sabha elections, the youth who became voters for the first time in the district were very enthusiastic about voting. After voting, the youth seemed very happy, because they have contributed in building the largest democracy in the world. For the Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha Constituency, the youth started coming out of the house and coming to their respective booths from 7 am.
 Young volunteers became guides for the elderly and disabled voters at the polling stations and were on hand to help them in every possible way. There was enthusiasm among the youth and women to vote. In view of the heat, elderly voters were seen waiting for the sun to set. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the young voters of Hoshiarpur. Young voters were seen bringing their parents with them to the polling booths. Maturity was also visible among the youth who voted for the first time. Women were not far behind in exercising their right to vote on election day. At many booths, more women than men were seen to be aware of voting. From 7 am to 6 pm, women kept coming and going to the booths. Only women were visible in the queues at many booths. Awareness about voting among women was acting as a motivation for other voters.
The jawans posted on duty were diligently engaged in conducting fair and peaceful elections. The personnel of the paramilitary forces deployed on duty conducted the voting in a peaceful manner and did not allow the anti-social elements even near the polling stations. While the youths were doing their duty for marriage votes, common voters were also seen appreciating the behavior and work style of the volunteers at all the booths.
