Patiala, May 30 - District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Patiala Shaukat Ahmed Pare has warned against possible wrong and illegal activities to deceive voters during the last 48 hours of the Lok Sabha elections. That during elections it is sometimes seen that political parties or their candidates distribute cash or alcohol to influence the voters, strict action will be taken if it comes to light. Urging the voters to stay away from such activities that undermine democracy, Shaukat Ahmed Pare has also informed that a letter has been written to the Additional Commissioner Investigation to conduct the sale of goods which can be distributed free to the voters only through e-bill. If there is a sudden increase in the sales of any wholesaler, then his GST data of the last 6 years will be checked.
