Mahilpur - Saksham Kanwar, son of Prof. Devinder Thakur of Khalsa College, Mahilpur, won gold medals in the 100m and 200m races under his under-14 age group in the SBKF National Games held in Jammu and Kashmir last night. The said student player was honored by the Arjun awardee player Gurdev Singh Gill and the college principal Dr. Parvinder Singh.

On this occasion, Prof. Devinder Thakur said that Saksham participated in this open category sports competition with the inspiration of his grandmother Veena Kumari. In which he won two gold medals as well as one silver medal. On this occasion, Arjun awardee player Gurdev Singh Gill and College Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh wished Saksham Kanwar well and encouraged him to work harder. Senior Clerk Ranjit Singh Rana, Dr. JB Sekhon, Accountant Sukhjinder Singh, Prof. Parambir Singh etc. were also present on this occasion.
