Hoshiarpur/Garhshankar, May 22:- Assistant Returning Officer-cum-SDM Garhshankar Shivraj Singh Bal of Assembly Constituency 045 Garhshankar today held a meeting with the BLOs having the highest and lowest voting percentage of the Assembly Constituency. . During this, he discussed with BLOs the idea of increasing the vote percentage in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that the Election Commission of India should leave no stone unturned in meeting the target of more than 70 percent voting and eligible voters should be motivated to cast their votes.
During this time, the SDM told all the BLOs that Dr. Heera Lal, General Supervisor of Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency, should work with full dedication in the campaign related to green elections and should plant as many trees as Different -Different activities should be conducted. He said that minimum use of single use plastic should be ensured in the voting process and political parties/candidates should also be encouraged not to use single use plastic.
