In Una district, 4224 voters have opted to vote from home for the Lok Sabha general elections and 2 assembly by-elections. Of these, 2994 voters for the Lok Sabha and 1230 voters for the Assembly by-election will avail the facility of the Election Commission to cast their home votes.
District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that special teams of the administration will go to the homes of the voters who have opted for home voting and complete the voting process with complete secrecy from May 21 to 29. For this, 5-5 mobile polling teams have been formed in every assembly constituency in the district. These include a polling officer, a micro observer, a security personnel and a videographer. This work has been started in the district from Tuesday. He said that the fixed schedule of postal ballot voting has also been shared with the representatives of political parties.
