Una, September 10- Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal planted herbal saplings in MC Park, Una on Tuesday in collaboration with the AYUSH department. Under this initiative, neem, moringa and ashwagandha saplings were planted. The aim of this important step was to make people aware about environmental conservation and explain the importance of medicinal plants and highlight the benefits of medicinal farming.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the present weather is especially favorable for the growth of herbal plants, due to which these plants can remain healthy and alive for a long time.
Jatin Lal appealed to everyone to plant as many trees as possible in this rainy season and ensure proper care of the plants. He said that plants are the basis of the existence of human life, and hence everyone should take active participation in tree plantation.
He stressed that planting trees is the moral responsibility of every person to maintain environmental balance. Plants not only provide oxygen but also flowers, fruits, medicine, and timber.
Assistant Commissioner Varinder Sharma, District AYUSH Officer Dr. Kiran Sharma, SDM Amb Sachin Sharma, Executive Officer Municipal Council Una Lalit Kumar and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Visit to District Ayurveda Hospital
After this, the Deputy Commissioner visited the District Ayurveda Hospital and thoroughly inspected the services and facilities available to the patients there. He obtained information about the quality of medical facilities in the hospital and the experience of the patients and gave necessary instructions to improve the arrangements.
