Una, September 10 - Under the Integrated Child Development Project Una, awareness camps were organized under the Nutrition Month in Gram Panchayat Jalgra Tabba, Bhatoli, Dangoli and Lamlehdi. These awareness camps were organized under the chairmanship of Asha Devi from Supervisor Circle Rakkad, Santosh Kumari from Bhatoli, Suman Lata from Barnoh and Veena Rani from Lower Arniala.

The supervisors informed that this time the Nutrition Month is based on five themes which include anemia, growth monitoring, supplementary diet, nutrition as well as education and technology for better administration. In the camp, information was given about the five principles of the Nutrition Campaign - Golden 1000 days, anemia management, diarrhea prevention, cleanliness, and nutritious diet. The concerned supervisors informed that to save the targeted groups from malnutrition, like every year, this year also, various programs are being organized by Women and Child Development at Anganwadi level, supervisor circle level and project level, through which detailed information is being given to the targeted groups regarding nutritious diet. He informed that while the cooperation of the people is necessary for the success of the programs, inclusive participation of public representatives, school management committees, government departments, social organizations and all public and private sectors is expected. He made people aware about the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
In these camps, it was told that it is very important to get the health checkup of pregnant women, lactating mothers and newborns done from time to time and it is also necessary to get them vaccinated and immunized on time. Pregnant women, lactating mothers and newborns should take a balanced nutritious diet, along with iron folic acid tablets, they should take diet rich in minerals, calcium, iron and special attention should be given to malnourished and slightly malnourished children and their health can be improved by giving them nutritious diet along with proper treatment after consulting an expert doctor and dietician. He made everyone aware about the importance of yoga to stay healthy.
In the camps, pregnant women were given baby showers so that people could be made aware.
On this occasion, the concerned Gram Panchayat Pradhan, health workers, Ayurvedic doctor, Mahila Mandal members, Anganwadi workers and others were present.
