Second phase randomization of EVM-VVPAT completed

Una, May 19- The second phase of online randomization of EVM-VVPAT machines was completed in the NIC room of Deputy Commissioner Office Una on Sunday in the presence of Election Commission General Supervisor Shyam Lal Punia. Various political parties including Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal participated in the second phase of online randomization of EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) and VVPAT machines (Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail) for all the polling stations of Una district for the Lok Sabha general election and Legislative Assembly by-election. On this occasion, the election officer said that the process of randomization of EVMs and VVPATs has been done online with complete transparency through the Election Commission's software.
976 EVMs and 1133 VVPAT machines will be used for voting in Lok Sabha elections and 2 assembly by-elections in Una district.
