
Shri Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust Donates 15 Wheelchairs to PGI, Another Supporter Donates 1 Lakh Rupees for Medicines for Poor Patients
Chandigarh. In an effort to support the nationwide blood donation campaign, the Shri Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust and NIFA Chandigarh have donated 15 wheelchairs to PGI for patient assistance. Trust President Rakesh Kumar Sangar stated that Preet Lata Singhania, associated with the organization, made this donation in memory of her late husband, Raghunandan Rai Singhania. Additionally, Dr. Akshat, affiliated with the organization, donated 1 lakh rupees to the Poor Patients Fund at PGI to assist impoverished patients undergoing treatment.

On this occasion, PGI's Medical Superintendent Professor Vipin Kaushal, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Naveen Pandey, and Dr. Pankaj Arora were present. They appreciated the trust's efforts, noting that such social initiatives help ease the path to treatment for needy patients.
Rakesh Kumar mentioned that the organization has been conducting regular blood donation camps and other socially relevant activities in the Chandigarh tricity area for the past 30 years. Directors Ramesh Narang, Praveen Singla, and Rajkumari added that the organization holds approximately 350 blood donation camps in the city each year, with around 20,000 people donating blood. In addition to blood donation, the organization is also working with PGI to promote the organ donation campaign.
