SAS Nagar, May 17 - Head boy and head girl selection was conducted at Shastri Model School Phase-I, Mohali to familiarize the school students about the 'choan prakriya'. Along with this, the social education teachers of the school informed the students about the process of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The spokesperson of the school said that four boys Yashmeet Sodhi, Harsh Vaid, Inderjit Singh and Kavish Bhatti and four girls Tania, Avneet Kaur, Tania Singh Rajput and Jasmin Kaur of the twelfth standard were selected for the Head Boy and Head Girl elections held in the school. Through speeches, he shared his thoughts with the rest of the school students about his election marks and the work he is doing towards the school. After that, the students cast their vote in the ballot box by stamping on the election mark made on the ballot paper to select their candidate.

The role of Returning Officer was played by Madam Bobby and the role of Polling Officer was played by Madam Kamaljit Kaur. During this time, enthusiasm towards the elections was seen among the students and the entire work of the election was carried out in a very good manner. After the voting was over, the ballot box was sealed and handed over to the principal of the school, Mrs. R. Bala. The spokesperson said that the election results will be announced on May 20 in the morning school assembly.
