In this regard, Civil Surgeon Dr. Jaspreet Kaur said that the continuously rising temperature disrupts the body's temperature regulation system and causes heat-related diseases. He said that small children, pregnant women, people suffering from obesity, elderly people, people suffering from heart diseases should take extra precautions in summer season. He said that to avoid heat, one should not go out in the sun from 11 pm to 4 pm, drink water every half an hour.
He said that while going out, one should wear light-colored cotton clothes covering the whole body, use an umbrella, cap or dupatta to cover the head from direct sunlight and avoid going barefoot in the sun. He said that seasonal fruits and vegetables like watermelon, melon, orange, grape, cucumber, tomato, ghee and tori should be used more, because they contain more water. He said that cigarettes, tobacco, beedi and alcohol should not be used. Use of tea, coffee should be minimized, fried, foreign and stale food should be avoided. Civil Surgeon Dr. Jaspreet Kaur appealed to the residents of the district to sincerely follow the necessary precautions mentioned by the health department.
  On this occasion, District Epidemiologist Dr. Rakesh Pal gave information about the symptoms of heat related diseases and said that fainting, muscle stiffness, irritability, headache, excessive sweating, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, rapid breathing and heart rate. , high body temperature etc. can be signs of heat or cold. If any such symptoms are observed, for first aid, take the person indoors in the shade, loosen all the clothes on his body, lie with the feet slightly elevated, fan the air slightly, sponge with water, If the person is a bit sluggish, give him cold water, if vomiting is coming, make him lie down with a curve.
