Nawanshahr - An event was organized at Nawanshahr on World Red Cross Day. Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa specially participated in the event.
In his address, Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa said that World Red Cross Day is celebrated on May 8 every year.
  On this day, the founder of the Red Cross and the first Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Henry Dunant, is remembered on his birthday as well as his message of peace and brotherhood is put into practice. The Deputy Commissioner also congratulated everyone on Red Cross Day. After this, a blood donation camp was also organized in which the employees of the Deputy Commissioner's office also donated blood. Apart from Harpal Singh District Nazar, Sham Lal MA, employees of DC office were also present on the occasion.
