Una, 8 May:- On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, District Red Cross Society organized a blood donation camp in Una on Wednesday 8th May. This camp organized at Regional Hospital Una was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner and President of District Red Cross Society Una, Jatin Lal. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner himself inspired the youth for this noble cause by donating blood.
DC said that blood donation is a great donation. This is the biggest virtue of life by which we can save many precious lives. It is necessary that people, especially the youth, come forward enthusiastically to donate blood. While wishing the World Red Cross Day, he appealed to the people to come forward and donate blood voluntarily for the betterment of humanity and to help the needy people.
Meanwhile, District Red Cross Society Secretary Sanjay Sankhyan said that a total of 49 blood donors donated blood in this camp. He gave information about the activities and works carried out by the Red Cross Society for the service and welfare of poor and needy people.
On this occasion, Chief Medical Officer Una Dr. Sanjeev Verma, Medical Superintendent Dr. Sanjay Mankotiya, Blood Bank in-charge Dr. Karan Sankhyan, District Red Cross Society Secretary Sanjay Sankhyan, State Pattern of Red Cross Surendra Thakur, Founder of Team Una Blood Service NGO. Lavish Kapila, Sandeep Sharma of Blood Lines Una, Himanshu Vishwamitra of Una All Blessing Hands NGO, representatives of various social service organizations, employees of DC and SP offices, youth from other educational institutions including ITI Una participated enthusiastically in the blood donation camp.
