He called for making the industrial establishments and premises of the district fire proof. He asked the industrial operators to design their units in such a way that they are safe for everyone from the point of view of fire safety.

The Deputy Commissioner was speaking in a one-day workshop organized by the District Disaster Management Authority in collaboration with Haroli Industrial Association on Monday in the auditorium of Rajiv Gandhi Suvidha Kendra, Bathu for awareness on fire safety, industrial hazards and disaster management plan.
Jatin Lal said that there have been many tragic accidents of fire in industrial units in Una, in which there was a huge risk of loss of life and property. To prevent such accidents, it is necessary that industry operators and related departments have awareness about fire safety. Inflammable materials should be stored with special caution. Everyone should be aware of their responsibilities and take care of their responsibilities. This will ensure that such accidents do not recur in the future and ensure everyone's safety while avoiding loss of life and property.
Awareness workshops will continue to be held in future also
Jatin Lal said that such workshops are useful in creating awareness regarding fire safety. The administration will also conduct such workshops in industrial areas in future so that people working in industries can become aware and keep their industrial campuses safe from fire accidents by keeping the fire safety guidelines in mind.
He appreciated the efforts of SDM Haroli, Industries Department and Haroli Industrial Association for successfully organizing the workshop. He praised the contribution of industrial operators in making Una district an industrial hub and giving it global recognition. He assured the industry of providing all possible assistance and stressed on working together as a team to take the district forward on the path of development.
Take care of waste management
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the industry operators to pay attention to waste management. He said that one should take care of one's workplace just like one's home. Be conscious of social responsibility along with industrial activities. Manage waste properly. Keep in mind that garbage should not be spread here and there and the environment should not be polluted.
There should be a harmonious solution to workers' issues.

The Deputy Commissioner urged Haroli Industrial Association to actively cooperate in the social welfare works of the administration. In the workshop, NDRF representatives gave information about the dangers of fire in industrial units, safety standards and prevention measures. The Industry Department explained in detail about disaster management rules and the Fire Department explained in detail about fire safety audit.
In the workshop, Haroli Industrial Association President Rakesh Kaushal welcomed the Deputy Commissioner and reiterated the commitment of the industrial fraternity to ensure compliance with disaster management rules.
