Una, April 25:- In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and two assembly by-elections, on Thursday, the first election rehearsal for the PRO and APRO giving election duty for the assembly constituency Una was conducted in Government College, Una. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal participated in the first election rehearsal.
During this, the Deputy Commissioner called upon the officers and employees posted on election duty to absorb the practical information given during the election rehearsal and perform their election-related duties with full dedication and devotion. 101 PROs and 113 APROs participated in this first rehearsal process.
In the election rehearsal programme, apart from the voting process and the materials used during it, practical practice of operation of EVM and VVPAT machines was conducted. Apart from this, the officers deployed for election duty were also provided complete election related information through PPT.
On this occasion, SDM Una Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan, Kanungo Election Harjeet Singh and other officers were present.
