
Special camps will be organized to add youth to the voter list
Una, 22 April:- Special camps will be organized in Una district to add eligible youth to the voter list. A detailed plan has been made in this regard. ADC Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar held a meeting with the principals of all the colleges, ITIs and schools of the district at DRDA Hall on Monday and discussed this special campaign.
Eligible youth left out can register till May 4, 2024
Una, 22 April:- Special camps will be organized in Una district to add eligible youth to the voter list. A detailed plan has been made in this regard. ADC Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar held a meeting with the principals of all the colleges, ITIs and schools of the district at DRDA Hall on Monday and discussed this special campaign.
He instructed the principals to motivate and make the eligible youth registered in the voter list through special camps in their institutions so that no eligible youth is deprived of the right to vote.
ADC said that there are a total of 18074 eligible youth in the age group of 18 to 19 years in the district, out of which 10,200 eligible youth have registered their names in the election rolls till April 22, 2024. The remaining eligible youth will be motivated and made aware under special camps and will be added to the voter list. He instructed the principals to ensure that the registration of eligible youth who have completed 18 years by April 1, 2024 is done by May 4, 2024 so that all the youth can ensure their participation in strengthening democracy.
ADC said that the youth can also get their online registration done through the Voter Helpline App. To get their name registered in the voter list, eligible voters can get their name registered in the voter list by taking Form No. 6 along with a colored passport size photograph, copy of Aadhaar number, age and residence certificate.
Mahendra Pal Gurjar said that continuous efforts are being made by the administration to increase the percentage of voting in the district. Under the sweep programs in the district, common people are being made aware and motivated about the importance of voting through slogan writing, signature campaigns, wall writing, election schools, election literacy clubs and street plays in schools and gram panchayats.
On this occasion, Tehsildar Election Samun Kapoor, District Program Officer Narendra Kumar and other officials were present.
