Giving information in this regard, District Immunization Officer Dr. Seema Garg said that on the completion of 50 years of Expanded Program on Immunization, this week is being celebrated all over the world. According to the guidelines of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Balwinder Kumar Damana, preparations are being made throughout the district so that no pregnant woman and child are deprived of vaccination. According to the instructions received from the Department of Health, Punjab, pregnant women and children from zero to five years of age in other underprivileged areas, especially urban and migrant population areas such as slum areas, slums, shacks, bhatias, pathera, Gujran camps and other underprivileged areas within the district. Outreach camps will be organized for complete immunization of all children. He said that during this campaign, which will run for a whole week except Wednesday, more attention will be focused especially on left out children in urban slum areas.
