Chandigarh: 22nd November, 2023::  It is an honor and privilege to announce that Prof. Baldev Setia, Director of Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, has been adjudged for the 'ISH Jal Vigyan Puraskar' as the 'BEST Paper in ISH Journal' for the year 2023. He is the co-author of the paper titled, ''Scour Protection around bridge pier and two-piers-in-tandem arrangement''.  (ISH Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 28:3, 251-263, DOI: 10.1080/09715010.2021.1874550.)

The Award Committee and The Executive Council of The Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH), chaired by Dr. R.S. Kankara, ISH President; announced the recipient of the 'ISH Jal Vigyan Puraskar' to be awarded during the inaugural session of the Hydro-2023 Conference on 21st December, 2023 at NIT, Warangal.  

The award carries a certificate for each author, a token cash prize of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees Five thousand) and a Trophy, which will be given in the award ceremony during the inaugural session of the HYDRO 2023 conference. 

It is a moment of pride and delight for the whole family of Punjab Engineering College, that our Director, PEC, Prof. Baldev Setia, is going to receive that award soon. This award will surely uplift everyone's confidence & joyfulness and our institute will move forward in all the fields maintaining the momentum and work culture of PEC.
