Nawanshahr - A training workshop on income tax e-filing and GST was organized by the Department of Commerce at Sikh National College Charan Kanwal Banga. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder. In which students of commerce department, all teachers of commerce department were given practical knowledge about income tax and GST.
  On this occasion, Damandeep Kaur, a student of BCom Part VI, conducted the stage very well. The keynote speaker Amandeep Singh Tagore Tax Consultant and Company Secretary Banga explained the importance of tax in practical life to the students in detail. He introduced the students to the various methods of filing income tax returns online. The workshop was conducted in fulfillment of the objective of the MoU signed between Sikh National College and Tagore A & Company. Meanwhile, spokesperson Amandeep Tagore gave information on how to file income tax and GST returns.
  Apart from this, information was also given about the employment opportunities in these areas. Finally, Head of Department Dr. Kamaldeep Kaur thanked the chief guest. On this occasion, Dr. Davinder Kaur, Prof. Ramandeep Kaur, Prof. Manraj Kaur, Prof. Hardeep Kaur, Prof. Deepika, Prof. Priya Ladhar and Prof. Lachhmi Rani etc. of Commerce Department were present.
