
Literary festival and book fair of Sikh National College completed with literary steps
Nawanshahr - Post Graduate Punjabi Department of Sikh National College Banga organized a literature festival and book fair under the guidance of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder with the support of Punjabi Sahitya Sabha Khatkar Kalan. In which international athlete Dr. Iqbal Kaur Keller attended as the chief guest. He was joined by renowned personalities of the Punjabi literary world including Shiromani Punjabi poet Prof.

He was joined by renowned personalities of the Punjabi literary world including Shiromani Punjabi poet Prof. Gurbhajan Gill and Dr. Manjinder Singh (Head, School of Punjabi Studies, Guru Nanak Dev University).
During the event, Principal Dr. Rameshinder Kaur Ball, Harsukhwinder Singh Mann and Jasmin Singh Grewal also joined as special guests. The book exhibition decorated in the beautiful college campus smelling with academic and literary fragrances was witnessed by all the guests including the staff and students. Dr. Iqbal Kaur inaugurated the Punjabi Bhawan built in memory of her son Late Panzi Iqminder Singh Sandhu with her blessings. Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder welcomed the guests by presenting bouquets of flowers and said that today is a historic day for us. Because today the first literature festival is being celebrated in the college on a large scale With the construction of Panzi Ekminder Singh Sandhu Punjabi Bhavan there, there will be more literary events of big literary personalities.
Dr. Manjinder Singh gave the keynote speech and gave a lively discussion about globalization and Punjabi literature with references to Gurbani, books and scholars' statements. In the program "Let's Talk", Prof. Gurbhajan Gill shared interesting stories of friendship with the people who captivated everyone's heart by talking with immature and delicious people. Dr. Iqbal Kaur said in his address that according to the current facilities, all kinds of seminars or conferences can be conducted at any time to provide intimate knowledge to the students. Principal Rameshinder Kaur Ball shared the memories of the founder of the college Mr. Hargurnad Singh Mann and mentioned the efforts made by him to build the college. Commemorative awards were presented to the guests who attended the event and Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur shared words of gratitude for all.
