Let us tell you that on Wednesday, Ajnoli gate remained closed due to the repair work of Una railway crossing, but no prior information was given by the railway management regarding this. Due to lack of information, there was difficulty in traffic management as well as huge inconvenience to the public.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar has expressed his concern in this regard by writing a letter to Senior Section Engineer/Works Northern Railway (Nangal Dam). He wrote in the letter that due to the repair work at Una railway crossing, no prior information was given to the Deputy Commissioner's office by the Northern Railway (Nangal Dam) regarding keeping the railway gate closed on Wednesday. Due to lack of information, alternative traffic plan could not be arranged in time, which caused inconvenience to the general public and disrupted the smooth flow of traffic.
He has asked the Senior Section Engineer/Works of Northern Railway (Nangal Dam) to ensure that in future, prior information is given to the Deputy Commissioner's office about all the repair works related to railways in the district so that proper arrangements can be made for traffic management in time. . At the same time, it can also be ensured that the public gets adequate information about it, so that public inconvenience and possible security threats can be avoided.
He said that maintenance of railway lines is very important for the safe and smooth operation of the rail network. But for the smooth implementation of these works, timely information and better coordination is important for all parties. The ADC said that from now on, ensure to share information about any future repair work of railways within the district with the administration so that alternative routes can be planned for the traffic and ease of movement of people is maintained.
