Nawanshahr - Kalaman di Shanj Sahitya Sabha Toronto organized a literary event in which the new collection of poetry 'Bhar Joban Bandgi' by famous Punjabi poetess Chinder Kaur Sirsa was presented to the public. After that, papers on the book were read. First of all Pyara Singh Kuddowal talking about the book said that it is Birha's poetry. With reference to Kabir and Baba Farid, he talked about the different forms of Birha. Speaking about the poetry of Sirsa, poet Malwinder said that it is a poetry of deep and intense experience in which poetry is present. Puran Singh Pandhi talked about the qualities of poetry with reference to Chinder Kaur's poetry. Jagir Singh Kahlon spoke about Chinder Kaur Sirsa's poetry as well as her other artistic interests. Talking about her writing process, Chinder Kaur said that her father's sudden departure from the world and her two children coming to study in Canada filled her with a sadness, which has been expressed in the form of poetry. He spoke more passionately about his life and shared some of his favorite poems. The second guest Shaira Calgary resident Gurdish Kaur Grewal also spoke about herself and said that she wrote a book on children along with poetry which she brought with her. During the second session, the poets present at the poet's court shared their works. In this event, Maluk Singh Kahlon, Karan Kavi Sangha, Maqsood Chaudhary, Jagir Singh Kahlon, Sarabjit Kahlon, Raminder Walia, Kul Deep, Shair Malwinder, President of Namdhari Sanstha Karnail Singh Marwaha, Sujan Singh Sujan, Puran Singh Pandhi, specially from California. Mr. Satnam Singh, Harjinder Singh Bhasin, Rintu Bhatia, Harpal Singh Bhatia, Harbhajan Singh Rathore and his daughter-in-law Gurmeet Rathore, Akram Dhurkot, Balraj Singh, Sohan Singh, Bachitar Singh Sukhwinder Singh Jhita and Sarbat Jhita family were present. Gurcharan Singh Dubai welcomed the guests and Marwaha Sahib thanked everyone. Hardyal Singh Jheeta and Pyaara Singh Kuddowal shared the responsibility of managing the stage.
